Hello and thank you for your interest in D3 Game Calls. My name is Tim Deckard and as stated on our home page, we are located in South Central Pennsylvania. D3 Game Calls was created out of my addiction to hunting but more specifically, predator hunting. I have been hunting for 30 years now and have had the good fortune to take some quality animals. More importantly are the memories that I share with family and friends of our hunting adventures. If it all ends tomorrow, I have nothing to complain about.
While trying to decide on a name for my business, I settled on a name that meant the most to me. The D3 in our business name represents the three Deckard men in our family. My two sons Jacob, Nicholas and myself. I love my wife dearly but just did not like the initials D4. I love to introduce new hunters and children to the outdoor sports. My father took the time to take me hunting every time I asked even though he wasn't crazy about it. Since he worked the night shift and was stricken with Polio in his right leg, that meant sleepless and painful days afield. He never once complained to me. I later came to respect that attitude and perserverance so much, that I vowed to do the same for not only my own children but all that showed an interest.
Over the years, I have collected, tore apart, broken and lost many commercial game calls. I was rarely happy with store bought calls so I tried to make them better. Now I'm not saying that there are no good commercial calls out there. I'm just trying to prove a point that call making materials and methods along with equipment has come a long way in the past thirty years that I have been hunting. I decided to start making my own calls to the specs and sounds that worked best for me. There is no better feeling than to successfully call or take an animal with something you made with your own hands. My goal as a call maker is to help create memories of a lifetime for my friends.
